It depends... My name is Evelyn Washère. I am a writer, artist, and 50+ model whose work explores the intersection of self-portraiture, technology, and identity. My creation and altar-ego is Evelyn Model, a hyper-realistic AI construct. Often within a self-portraiture context, I blend digital photography, mixed media, artificial intelligence, electronics, and manual artistry to craft immersive, storytelling-driven characters.
My Work
I am compelled to delve into the evolving layers of self-representation, questioning the balance between enhancement and obstruction created by filters and digital and manual tools. My art questions authenticity and identity: “Where does the façade of ego end, and the realness of self begin?”
